Faith Dowty began her ballet training when she was thirteen-years old at a small studio in Fredericksburg, VA. At sixteen she was accepted into the upper division of the School of Richmond Ballet, in Richmond, VA, where she studied under Jasmine Grace, Anne Sidney Hetherington, Judy Jacob, Susan Israel Massey, Cecile Tuzii, and Malcolm Burn. There she performed in Richmond Ballet’s annual Nutcracker and the school’s spring showcase.
In 2017 Faith began attending En Pointe Indiana Ballet’s pre-professional program. There she studied under Robert Moore, Pollyanna Ribeiro, and Jonathan Guise. She performed excerpts from Smuin Ballet’s Christmas show, Etudes, an En Pointe original titled ‘Curiosity’, and a full-length production of Don Quixote. She competed at YAGP Indianapolis Regionals and NYC Finals in 2018 as an ensemblist, and YAGP Kansas City 2019 as a soloist.
In 2019 Faith moved to Tacoma, WA to join Paradosi Ballet’s trainee program. While there she had the pleasure of performing in numerous community outreaches as well as a soloist in Surrendered School of Dance’s Christmas program.
Faith has a deep love for ballet and performing. She is honored to be an apprentice at Magnum Opus and is excited to see what God has in store for this upcoming season.
