Maelee began dancing at age 11 with North Georgia School of Dance in Auburn, GA. From there, she began learning how to incorporate worship into dance technique with Praise in Motion until joining Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance’s Pre-Professional Program for the rest of her high school training. Under the direction of Susan Beebe, Maelee was able to perform various ballets such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty. During that time she also performed as the “Mad Hatter” in Alice in Wonderland and “Snow White” in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Maelee quickly became involved in the choreographic element of dance and proceeded to create original works for Universal Ballet Competition, NYCDA, Kennesaw State University’s Choreographic Showcase,  and AABD’s yearly student showcase. She hopes to continue growing her choreographic interests in the coming years.

In 2021, Maelee joined Magnum Opus Ballet as a Trainee and will now be dancing with the Company as an Apprentice for the 2022/2023 season. She is excited to see what the Lord has in store this year!
