Keelin Hansen
Apprentice
Keelin is originally from Ankeny, Iowa, where she started dancing at age three. She transitioned to the School of Classical Ballet and Dance in West Des Moines, Iowa, at age nine to study classical ballet technique and train under the direction of Serkan Usta and Lori Grooters. Since then, Keelin has performed in 18 full-length professional ballet productions and has competed at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix, one of the most influential international student ballet competitions in the world. She has had the pleasure of dancing multiple roles, her favorites being Lead Marzipan in The Nutcracker and Belle’s Sister in Beauty and the Beast.

Keelin recently completed a creative residency for emerging artists with South Dakota Ballet, working with Madeleine Scott and Blake Krapels and performing in the premiere of Nomad, a 45-minute contemporary work.

She has shared the stage with professionals from Ballet de Monterrey, Ballet Des Moines, and Oklahoma City Ballet. Keelin loves expressing artistry and emotion through movement and is grateful for each opportunity to perform. She looks forward to combining her love of worship with the art of dance and is excited to begin her professional career in her first season with Magnum Opus.
