Courtne began her classical training at Ballet Magnificat! School of the Arts where she trained under Nissa Kilman as well as Jiri Sebastian Voborsky and IBC Silver Medalist, Kathy Thibodeaux. While at Ballet Magnificat! she had the privilege of performing in several original works including Most Incredible Christmas by Jiri Sebastion Voborsky, L’Esprit by Nissa Kilman, and a principal role in Kilman’s contemporary ballet, Steady Heart.
In 2016 Courtne moved to Chicago, IL as a trainee with Ballet 5:8 where she trained under Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet alumni Lauren Ader Cumpston and Antonio Rosario. Courtne’s favorite repertoire she performed during her time in Chicago was a soloist role in The Stor(ies) of You and Me by Preston Miller.
Courtne joined Magnum Opus as a company apprentice in 2018. She enjoyed performing with the company both locally and touring nationally as well as teaching master classes while on tour. Courtne was promoted to company artist in 2019 and is very excited for everything this season will bring.
